Next up in our Clarus Summer Series: Taylor Cooper.
In this conversation, Taylor shares about her commitment and love for natural spaces and the people and communities they serve—values that show up in so much of what she does at Clarus. Check out this quick read from Taylor and stay tuned for the next installment of our Summer Series in August.
What projects are you currently working on that genuinely excite you and why?
Right now, I’m working on several projects focused on building healthier, more resilient communities through environmental stewardship, conservation, and access to outdoor recreation —and I couldn’t be more energized. Whether it’s climate action work in Central Alabama, strengthening national conservation partnerships, or developing accessibility standards for trails and preserves across North America, these projects align deeply with my values. Getting to combine passion and purpose in my work is incredibly fulfilling.
What strengths do you bring to Clarus that are connected to your Enneagram type?
If you’ve been around anyone on the Clarus team recently, you probably know we’re more than mildly obsessed with the Enneagram. (Here’s why!) As an Enneagram One, I’m driven by purpose and guided by values. At my best, I bring a thoughtful, principled approach to problem-solving—balancing big-picture ideals with a clear focus on practical steps forward. I care deeply about doing meaningful work with integrity, and I hope that shows up in how I collaborate, lead, and contribute to our team.
What’s something outside of work that brings you joy or keeps you grounded right now?
2025 has been full of unexpected opportunities to travel—visiting Kenya, Tanzania, and the U.K. has been incredibly meaningful and expansive. At the same time, I find so much delight in the everyday: walks in my neighborhood, slow Saturday mornings at the Pepper Place Farmers Market, and the more relaxed rhythm of summer. This season of life feels all about the balance, so I’m savoring the big adventures and finding deep joy in staying put!
