An Innovative Program for Developing Leaders & Strengthening Teams

September 16, 2024

In our most recent post, we made the case for why it’s critical for organizations of all kinds to invest in their people and teams. Today, we’re sharing a program we designed to help leaders do just that – strengthen their organization by developing leaders who can build and manage highly effective teams. The program is called Clarus Leadership & Team Development (CLTD), and we have delivered this highly impactful program in organizations of all sizes and across sectors.

CLTD is delivered within the context of the organization’s environment and priorities, and outcomes of the program include strengthened communication and conflict management skills, improved ability to utilize effective leadership tools, and team alignment around shared priorities.

Our Approach

  • Interactive Discovery: CLTD helps leaders build a framework for approaching their work and collaborating across teams using self-assessments, interactive discussions, and planning and problem-solving activities.
  • Participatory, Team-Based Learning: By encouraging active participation and critical thinking, CLTD engages participants in the development, application, and refinement of leadership skills and fosters idea-sharing among leaders.
  • Context of the Organization: CLTD centers the specific goals and culture of an organization by involving actual organizational challenges and real-time problem-solving to completely integrate learned skillsets.

CLTD Topics

  • Exploring team culture, strengths, challenges, and opportunities
  • Understanding individual personality and leadership styles using the Enneagram
  • Developing a common language for leadership effectiveness
  • Building and maintaining high-performing teams
  • Understanding strategies and barriers to effective communication
  • Strengthening capacity for effective conflict management
  • Developing individual and team commitments for advancing a culture of leadership

CLTD Structure

The CLTD structure includes participant pre-work including an interview and online Enneagram assessment. The workshops are typically three full-day sessions held two to three weeks apart. After completion of the workshop, Clarus provides recommendations for the team to build on momentum and skills developed during CLTD.
